the people that do presses and curls in the squat rack.

Serious question, why on earth do people do this? I've noticed people who are experienced gym members.

Just last week I was waiting to do some cleans and there was a group of 4-5 juiceheads hogging both squat racks curling the bar with some 10 pound weights tossed on there.

I have no idea. Most of the people I see doing it should know better.

So where did I say that he said that? And why did you leave out the /s?

Now, since you're so good at using the internet, search for the word HYPERBOLE and get back to me.

Maybe we can get a mental workout for you today.

Is there some type of benefit to having that full length barbell as opposed to using a shorter bar designed for curls?

Are they doing it just because they know it'll piss people off?

What. Is. The. Deal?

99% of people I see doing curls in the rack are moving strictly at their shoulders

For me, the gym has those preloaded bars that should be good for curls. Problem: they don't allow the weights to rotate like the olympic bars do and it causes discomfort for the wrists. And before someone says it the easy-bar is not equal to the straight bar for curls. I utilize both.

If its a busy gym time I won't curl in the squat rack. But I typically hit arms on Saturday mornings (if I do them at all that week) so I'm never "hogging" the rack. I'm also very diligent about timing my sets. 4 sets with 75 seconds rest isn't going to ruin your leg day. Go do some fricking warm up leg extensions. I squat better "pre-exhausted" anyways.

Thank you for answering. I did not know this. And sorry about your weak wrists.

I do it. I do military press or push presses in the squat or power rack depending on what is available.

It sounds like you need to buy some of my wrist wraps. The website should be up by the end of the week.
