According to Newsweek:
You can’t hurt Budweiser
Edit: I was posting this to be sarcastic. They have lost so much market share - it’s devastating.

People will argue this but especially with draft I can’t tell the difference. Blind taste test with BL, ML, CL and I’d fail every time
I can just because I’ve had lots of them for so long. But you’re right. They aren’t different enough to make people go back to BL

The bad news for Bud Light is that there are many readily-available alternatives on the market. What does it take for someone unhappy with Bud Light over the woke policies and in-your-face hostility to its base to shift to another non-premium beer?
Where this kind of boycott is less likely to work is where there are no readily-available alternatives on the market. If you are a big NFL fan and don't like the political positions that they take, there are no readily-available alternatives, so boycotting the NFL means a choice between no professional football and sucking it up to accept the contempt that the NFL has for a large segment of its base. I know that there are some people who have given up on the NFL, but there are many people who quit watching NFL games for a while but then have returned. That probably won't happen with Bud Light because of the alternatives available.

Yall need to think about people who own stock in these companies before just up and trying to cancel them.
If I recall correctly, you were thankful for the boycott early on, bragging that you were buying stock on that dip. Now you want us to “think about” the stockholders. frick you.
FWIW, I can almost guarantee that you never bought any stock in AB/InBev.

The main argument here is that Anheiser Busch will just switch to an international market to sell its products and hence this will not hurt the company in the long run. I am skeptical. What, is Anheiser Busch going to sell its product in Europe, where the quality of beer is outstanding? Is Anheiser Busch going to replace the American market with the African market, where intolerance for LGBTQ issues is substantially stronger than it is in the United States? Maybe there are other markets to tap into, but losing such a large share of the American market will hurt.

What is the reason o enlightened one?

Yeah that's shortsighted to think it won't hurt in the long run. Will it kill AB? No. But even if they pick up market share elsewhere, it's less market share than they would've had if BL was still the #1 beer in the US.

How’d they conclude they are the “oldest veteran owned company in Louisiana”?
Seems dubious.

Especially in an industry where for all intents and purposes, the products are the same (or at least similar enough where finding a replacement to move on to is very easy).
Getting cheap, light beer consumers to change brands is notoriously difficult. The customer base they have lost will never come back now that they have settled on a new beer.

They can pick up the slack for lost sales then if they’re so worried about stock price. I think it’s hilarious you think the stock price is the responsibility of consumers and not their CEO

Trying to get my dad off Budweiser but he's 58 and has been drinking it for 40 years. He tried Yuengling and wasn't a fan.
The search continues.

PBR? High Life? Both cheaper than Bud, too.

Coor’s Banquet another great option.

Chris no one gives a frick about you and your $100 worth of Budweiser stock you bought thinking you’d eventually get to rub it in the nose of the OT.

Wonder if it’s been a problem for miller?
Good problem to have.
But they had a set projection of how much beer they need to produce. They already had a spike in sales with the old can. Then “boom” Bud shits the bed. Beer is a product that takes time to produce. Even boring beer. Hops have to grow. Yeast. Fermentation. They have it down to a science but the logistics of it must be crazy. Again, they’re making $$ hand over fist.
