f you don’t want any Atlanta Culcha then look at working anywhere north of I-20.

I think you’re mistaken... the culcha is south of I-20. Everything except for the airport is on the north side.

Im looking for electrical engineering or data analysts positions. Its seems really competitive, is that the norm.

Honestly I would give up at this point. It seems like for the last decade you've asked questions about this on the OT. The problem is you, not the city you're in or the industry.

In Atlanta, this is an absolute. Pretty much a major thing I look at when skimming resumes. We are in Alpharetta, constantly get resumes from westside, south of town, etc...

In Atlanta it’s probably better to have a Southern degree than one from LSU.

My brother in law is a computer software writer.

He took a new job at Home Depot about 2 years ago. He likes it and has nothing but good things to say.

Not really. Populations are not indicative of business culture. Most engineering companies in Atlanta are probably premier enough to prefer flagship and other top rated schools.

Im beginning to think that ive topped out professionally unless i go to a more recogniziable institution.

Not sure why. If you're young arguably the best place in the city is the 04W and Inman Park area.

At this point it's harder and harder to sell someone under 40 of living anywhere outside of Fulton County.

Hey, thought I'd drop a line. I would develop (if you don't already have one) a robust linkedin profile and perhaps consider buying the premium version during your job hunt. Also change your location the ATL area. If they ask if your local, make up something like "my wife accepted a job, I'm in the process of moving." You'll have a heads up on an interview at least a week prior, so, getting there shouldn't be a problem.

The market is here is still red hot, so finding a gig won't be too hard when you get plugged in. Best of luck!

O4W and surrounding neighborhoods are great for young professionals. Live there now before you have kids, because you can't live there afterwards.

Dafuq a young single guy do in Kennesaw?

I'd live in an overpass underneath Auburn Ave. before moving to the suburbs. Traffic is that hellacious, and, unless you're raising a family your weekends will be pretty bland.

O4W is a lot of fun, but there are a ton of other good areas as well. Virginia Highlands, Poncey-Highlands, Druid Hills, Midtown, Buckhead, Little 5 points, West-Midtown, even Decatur are all good options in town. All young, fun places to live.

I've heard of a few people move into the Battery complex where ST park is. It's fun, but it's an isolated eco-system. If your job is OTP up 75, it's not a bad option.

Materials emphasis? Why?

NRC and Georgia Power. Good luck though, you are directly competing with Georgia Tech grads that want to remain in the area.

I’ll tell you Atlanta is 100000000x better than Leesville, LA. I don’t blame you:
