I’d be curious, if US shale industry starts cutting back and US production falls, causing oil prices to start creeping back up, if the current President is going to lash out at industry like the past President did.

Are we going to try to force an industry to operate at a price point that isn’t suitable for their business?

That won't happen.

It could kill US production and bring back high oil prices in 3-4 years.

Removing sanctions from Venezuelan crude will basically create an immediate 13 million barrel crude glut.

Just give me $75 right now. $80 in 2027 to keep up with inflation.

Blue states waste tax dollars and they are complicit in fraud too, both to a much greater extent than red states.

Rather than opine for $70/barrel oil and lower state taxes, why not implement policies to reduce oil’s price and vote out evil, demorat politicians at the federal, state, and local levels and see what happens.

I’ll predict nirvana.

Hey! That’s what Huey P Long did. As long as Win or Lose Oil Co won the lease bid…but that’s just a minor detail.

Were doing away with the gas tax and royalties.

Sounds like we are one step from nationalizing oil.

Waiting to hear where we make up the profits.

There is still a ton of siloing and inefficiencies in upstream oil and gas that generates a ton of waste. The industry still has a bro/cowboy culture that doesn’t demand the most efficient and best process decision making.

Oil has remained pretty cheap when accounting for inflation. Everything else is way more expensive.

I’m no economist, but I think the administration’s goal is to significantly reduce energy costs so that the cost of goods ultimately goes down too.
