I have to an extent. I worry about society as a whole and my children.

The hate everyone has on Twitter.
Also, Twitter and Reddit NSFW pages add to other addictions.
Tell your loved ones to take a break. It truly will make you happier and change your life for the better. No need to compare yourself to someone else’s life. No need to consume so much information that doesn’t affect you, focus on your family and being the best version of you.
the irony of this being posted on a message board...

Tik Tok comments will have you questioning humanity!

social media has destroyed society. No one works anymore. They just make 10 seconds videos of themselves dancing like they have tourettes or unemployed women who aren't qualified to cook at applebee's make 1 minute cooking videos and have more followers than actual chef's like Emeril.

Does TD count?
TD isn't social media. It's a message board like the old dandy don or Louisiana sportsline message boards in the 90's

The thing I despise about social media the most is how easy it is for women to get unearned attention. You can take an ordinary, good looking girl who just hit puberty and got boobs and a decent butt and now she’s got hundreds of simps clamoring for her attention on social media. The issue is that a lot of these women did not work for anything, they simply grew up and became desirable. A lot of them are simply fricking delusional. Much of the blame needs to fall upon the men who enable this behavior.
It started with, “follow Sommer Ray on Instagram, she has a massive arse” and it’s transpired to scumbag men paying for OnlyFans. If you’ve ever given a dollar to these women online, you deserve to be publicly outed and shamed.

I approve this message. Spot on..... even though it's kind of a "captain obvious" moment, but I agree with fastlane. It's hard to reboot when you don't cut off your media content.

With a lot less originality of the 90s and early 2000s message boards
Even the small message boards these days have some of the similar issues to large social media sites even if they’re “not social media”
The internet as a whole as gotten more stale and worse in many ways despite there being way more content and options

TD certainly counts as "social media" but acting like it's anywhere near the likes of FB, Tiktok, etc is disingenuous.
TD is still generally anonymous and you can't consume content here nearly as fast as the other sites.
It's getting bad though with all the reposts of other sites. It's basically a filter for other social media sites with less and less originality.
