Ehh…Mountain Brook is one of the 30 wealthiest subdivisions in the US. I would describe it closer to a shopping area in a ski resort town in the summer.
I’m very familiar with Mountain Brook. I’m noting that the open air complex and surrounding neighborhoods would be the Bham version of Towne Center, Bocage, and Old Goodwood. It’s your old money crowd that is hood adjacent but overall safe.
The Mall of Louisiana is like the Galleria.

Ok, thanks.
Hopefully, they sue the hell out of the Mall and Baton Rouge will have to actually do something about the trash in public places.
I remember when I lived in BR in the 80's and 90's and never thought twice about going to the mall at any time of the day or night.
Hillar needs to put give these "Rappers" a new audience with Orange clothing. Of course, Hillar is scared of "them" so they will probably get 5 years probation and an trash judge will cut that to "community service" for a month.

This is why Baton Rouge has gone to shite. It seems like all violent crime is committed by someone who Hillar should’ve locked away forever, but instead pleaded down to a month of probation and called it a win because it’s a conviction.

This is worth repeating. We need to start building our own CECOT’s.
Good luck. BRPD isn’t close to being fully staffed, the DA’s office is in the same shape and have you seen what’s going on with prison guards lately?

If you want to see the Mensa level minds that are involved in that shite good look at “dadumbway” subreddit.

Do we have a pic of the suspect yet?
Posted on 4/23/26 at 8:06 pm to Double Oh
Nope. 5 or 6 arrested. No names. No description. Nothing.

What do we suspect the ages of the perps will be? O/U 20? And how many will have records already? O/U 60%?

Where did the gun come from? My guess is it was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

It's news like this that makes me very thankful and cognizant of my blessed life to have grown up and currently reside in a place free of such senseless violence and the people who perpetrate it.
You live in Aspen or something?

Suspect is not so suspect to those of us who know crime statistics.

Court records show Marcus Washington had been on house arrest after a gun discharged inside Istrouma High. And just days before the mall shooting, a judge removed his ankle monitor.
Here’s what we found digging into his past ???
