Gotta be careful with this stuff and always talk to your doctor because it lowers your blood pressure. I started taking this a few years ago and had two pretty scary episodes at restaurants when I almost passed out at the table. The first time it happened I didn’t know what was going on and drove afterward, and almost passed out driving on the freeway.

We are fighting against our nature, and it leaves us anxious, depressed and unfulfilled.

Sound therapy also is effective, specifically, "432 HZ Sound Frequency," known as the God Frequency.

I use sound therapy and it helps. Mainly binaural beats. But the combination of the God Frequecy and Binaurel Beats are effective . Binaurel Beats have 5 different waves depending on your situation. But you have to have ear buds. It is great for helping me sleep better but you need comfortable sleep earbuds.

Copied this off a site to explain each.

quote:

Binaural beats in the delta range (1 to 4 Hz) are associated with deep sleep, pain relief, anti-aging and healing
Binaural beats in the theta range (4 to 8 Hz) are associated with REM sleep, deep relaxation, meditation and creativity
Binaural beats in the alpha range (8 to 13 Hz) are associated with relaxed focus, stress reduction, positive thinking and learning – a good beat to accompany meditation
Binaural beats in the beta range (14 to 30 Hz) are associated with focused attention, cognitive thinking and problem solving – also good to listen to while working from home!
Binaural beats in the gamma range (30 Hz and above) are associated with peak awareness and memory recall

YouTube has some great videos I use for sleep.

I can only pee sitting down. I don’t care what that OT a-hole says.

Achieving peace and tranquility

Is of course relative, but your experience is actually fairly common.
quote:

My work life is rooted on conflict. Every detail, big or small, is disputed or argued over. It is unnerving and incessant. I get little satisfaction over a "win" or a "job well done" because, again, everything is rooted in conflict. I have a hard time separating myself from work due to the fact that there is always something to do. Unfortunately, I can't "unplug" or turn away from the phone + emails too long, as I come back to an insane amount to sift through - ultimately causing more worry.

If I were you - and I'm not of course - I would:

1. Do an activity that allows you to express yourself. Anything from salsa dancing to parking your car somewhere remote and screaming until you no longer feel the need. If you play BBall go to the gym for a pick up game. Do something you like and are already good at, and crush it.

2. Embrace the wisdom of the Field of Fvcks meme somebody posted. Decide what is important to you and what is not important. Do not engage with those things that are not important. Compartmentalize your personal life from your professional life. Most professionals bring work home with them, it's part of the job. Learn how to say no, and save everybody's time by being direct and blunt whenever appropriate.

3. Take a blank piece of paper and write down where you think you would be in order to achieve peace and tranquility. Read it aloud. Revise as necessary. Then go there. For me it's sitting by running water because the white noise drowns out all the other thoughts. For you, likely something different. Wherever it is you go know that the only person that is responsible for how you feel is you. Embrace yourself.

I believe investing in your spiritual life will offer the balance you're seeking, not mention the purpose for which you were created: growing in an intimate relationship with God, maturing in that faith so that Christ centered life will allow you to handle whatever obstacle you may face, and most importantly fellowship with other believers that will enable you pass on the love Christ on to the next brother or sister in need of answers.

The ultimate purpose of a Christian is to share the love of Christ, helping the next brother or sister in need and as a result discipling other Christians. It gives me no greater joy to see the light come on for those searching for answers. I was an unbeliever and obstinate for years when people tried to bring that Christian nonsense to me, but I can promise you that if you seek you will find. The answer to all of life's questions are not as far away as you may think. If you have any Christian friends or acquaintances whose life appears to have a balance and fruit you desire, I'd suggest starting there in picking their brain on how God has helped them prevail. Life doesn't get easier on this side of things, rather we just become effective in using the discernment we gain as our faith grows and mature in this thing to approach from an angle that is more precise and effective.

Sorry if TL;DR. I just get excited to share my experience in hopes that you can experience the same. I can promise you an investment in a Christ centered life will have a lifelong return of answers to whatever challenge or problems you may face. As a bonus, who passes on eternal life without a deeper review of things?

The Blessing Elevation Worship: A song that best captures the heart of God and continues to well up faith in the midst of doubt
