From a perspective of bail, this is a person that has no care for civilized laws. By killing a cop, it shows that there is nothing he's not willing to do. I get you are innocent until proven guilty, but if there is any evidence, you can't say this person is not a severe threat to society. Has nothing to do with how much cops want to get him from that perspective.
