heresies
There is a reason they are labeled heresies.
The most fundamental tenant of Christianity is that God exists as three distinct persons, but as one God. The Holy Trinity. If whatever denomination out there believes otherwise, they simply can’t be Christians. They can call themselves whatever they want, but it isn’t founded in the Christian Gospels.

I was simply reading the posts.
It seems prevalent in the thread, and others I've read.

This is a stupid article. 100% of Christians believe in the Trinity. If one does not believe in the Trinity, then one is simply not a Christian.
Bingo!

Doesn’t seem unreasonable for people to question how the father is the son and a ghost.
Do you believe 1x1x1=1

Anyone can call themselves Christian. Jesus didn't come to make Christians. He came to make Disciples. Big difference.
Now...what is the percentage of Disciples that believe in the Trinity?

Thanks brother.
Maybe you should pray for me.

I am sure you are being sarcastic, but I will certainly pray for you nonetheless. I do wish you well.

I don’t believe that number at all.
I can run multiple 1,000 person polls and get 1 set of results that gives me what I need for my narrative.

If the Catholic Church would allow priests to marry, they’d be crushing it in recruiting new members. It must be bad trying to get new priests. The last 2 in my parish sounded more like Apu from the Simpsons. Like, you can barely understand what he’s saying.

Exactly. Religion was invented to placate the masses.
Prayers for both of you

Don't think I've ever heard that theory before.

Blasphemy. In your heart, you know it's onions, garlic, and bell pepper.

Belief in the Trinity, characterized by the Cultural Research Center as a “fundamental tenet of Christianity,”
Sounds like something the Cultural Research Center would want us to believe.
Religion should allow varying views. I would not want to be part of religion that expects me to buy into everything they preach. If I accept some of it, and I’m content with that, I don’t see why that would be a problem.

believe that God exists and affects people’s lives. That figure rises to 53% among self-identified Christians
Ummmmm....... What????
My guess is this is referring to the people that self identify as Christians in a cultural or background sense. Like they were baptized and/or raised in a Christian household or community but don't actively practice the religion in any way. But they also don't want to say they are atheists.
I'm met quite a few people like that. In many European nations this is even more commonplace. A lot of those countries are still technically considered majority Christian even though the majority of those people are mostly if not completely secular. It's part of their heritage so they'll still say they are Christians
But this is regarding "Christians" actually practicing the religion in any way. That 16% stat seems too low still

I don't think it works that way.
