To be on the safe side, JBE should initiate an order that everyone needs to report to the Dome. This will be ground zero containment.

People hate Bobby Jindal, but he was like a machine during Gustav.

why hasn't he shut down the Bridges and block I-10 exits to everyone but essential personnel only?

JBE is quickly morphing into the second coming of Gov. Blanco after Katrina when she got on national TV and wrung her hands (literally) and cried saying "I don't know what we're going to do...."

I thought 5 days ago we were 7 days away from hospitals being overrun. Now we are 2 weeks away?

but I have to hand it to JBE....He sure does know how to use fear to get LA's attention.
Has he threatened to cancel LSU football again? Maybe he should start playing that card again.

joshjrn BR has plenty of capacity? Others claim different. Make me feel better.
It ultimately depends on how bad it gets and how quickly. In a worst case scenario paradigm, literally no one has even 20% of the capacity they need, so it's a moot point.
But, because we kept cases low for such a relatively long time, we are able to be ahead of the curve on prep for a city of this size. i.e. LINK
We also have a good number of staffed beds and ICU beds for a city this size: LINK
Now, again, if this shite gets out of control, it gets out of control. But if we can flatten the curve here, we should do ok.

According to a map I saw yesterday that I can no longer find, Baton Rouge reduced movement faster than any other parish in the state, by far. We also have plenty of hospital capacity. Don't blame us for your shite.
yeah a week ago I was all in on including EBR with OP/JP but they've done very well

Bobby Jindal was a stat spewing machine. You didn't watch one of his addresses and feel like anybody was withholding info

This tells you all you need to know...

The governor declined to provide the data used to create that model, and later called it a "worst-case scenario" that the state was currently on track to hit.

Why not provide it? We dont need to be protected from the raw data.

Im not disbelieving hospitals will or could be overrun. Just asking how did we improve so greatly with this getting worse.
Touro was apparently bad last night, but not unmanageable.
