I’ll miss Dillard’s. The rest of the mall makes me sad.

The march towards complete non-socialization proceeds apace.

The mall forced people to interact when they went to purchase the clothes and consumer items they needed.

Online shopping, the Amazon killed that.

Well, people will still interact when they get something to eat...right?

Waitr and "order ahead" (mobile ordering [see Starbucks]) have killed that.

Movies? frick the theater, there's Netflix and On Demand.

We are doomed as a species

I don't think Dillard's will leave Lafayette.

The bennigans restaurant that used to be by Acadiana mall was the busiest one in the country at one point.

The meeting the future husband thing is not sad. But a Bennigan's rocking it in the cradle of culinary excellence (Acadiana) IS sad.

White trash loves chain restaurants. All the baws from the Cro and Scott like to hit up Buckle in the mall and then take their ole lady somewhere nice

I wish they'd just level the mall and build something cool there instead.

The horror of eating food served in a restaurant with multiple locations.

To paraphrase Chris Rock, "There's the mall the white people go to and the mall the white people used to go to." I guess Amazon is the mall everyone goes to now.

What would be cool? A place where people like you can gather and make fun of other people, to make you feel better about yourself?

He helped change my tire in the parking lot when I had a flat tire. I don't think that's sad at all.
Upvote this post if you read the above and thought that playa flattened her tire and then came back to offer to help change it.
