Nope, $300k house. You can get a pretty decent inground pool for $50k here, depending on how much concrete you want around it.

I would opt for the moderately upscale pool if I lived in a moderately upscale house.

Not all of us are fortunate enough to live in the garden spot that is Louisiana. In suburban ohio we have to make do with affordable housing, low crime, good schools and honest, conservative elected officials.
I'm in Texas but I am getting Redfin emails from rural Wisconsin with homes that are appraised at $115k but going for $300k, housing prices have gone absolute bonkers.

They are going up a bit. We bought in 2021 for $300k and it's probably worth $400k now. Prices held steady around here for 20 years before the recent nonsense.

The housing prices in this town actually went down from 2004 to 2012 but the prices have doubled in recent years.
Home for sale in BFE WI, that is double the appraised value.

Above ground pools are for the white trash.
300K home is just a step above a doublewide.

I have a Kodak picture of me as a baby, in the backyard in North Baton Rouge having a pool party.
The pool was one of those blow up pools back in the 1960’s.
There a young 4 yr old girl running to check me out in the pool.
I can’t help it I was always a ladies man.

I would say it depends on the number of giant blow-up swans and flamingos you have floating in it.

OT trashy if you drink beer and fish in your pool
Why are you trying to squash my dream?

There are exceptions.

I don't have an issue with above ground pools. Never really thought about them one way or the other. Don't really see it as trashy at all.

I try not to judge things like that. Maybe okay with a nice deck around it or something.

Even in MS $330k is not moderately upscale, more like starter homes.

Roger that. We have Benny Thompson, absolute fricking embarrassment but unbeatable in his district.

Ok, mine was the no longer used historical form. Sorry.
