If u don’t have new cars that have roadside assistance I would get it.

This. I have had AAA since the day I got married.
In 30 years of driving, I have never been stranded by a car breakdown, locked my keys in my car, had a dead battery, gotten a flat, or run out of gas.
My wife, however, has had each of the above happen at least once in that same time period. A few of them, more than once.
Now I have a daughter driving and I am assuming the same will “happen” to her.
While I am at work, out of town, or unavailable.... AAA has been there within 60-90 mins EVERY time.
Money well spent.

Sucks - when you call they tell you it will be 3 hours and you have to stay with the vehicle.
I had a blowout last yr and the retard who put my tires on used an impact wrench so there was no way to break the lugs free.
It was 107 and I'm supposed to sit there for 3 hours
F AAA

One issue is AAA only pays for towing up to something like 20 miles. After daughter wrecked her car in Metairie, I followed as they towed it out to our regular shop in Kenner at end of Vets. Was over 20 miles, had to pay a few bucks difference to the tow driver.

I have it. Way ahead in the $82 annual membership fee

Depends on the level of membership you purchase
AAA Classic - 5 miles
AAA Plus - 100 miles
AAA Premier - 200 miles of free towing for one of your service calls per household, 100 miles of free towing for three of your service calls, and it allows for a fifth service call at the Classic level of coverage with 5 miles of free towing if needed.

It also matters where you live.
AAA of Alabama is different than AAA of Louisiana, which is different than AAA of Texas, which is different from AAA Oklahoma, etc.

Bruh, I am not a baller, but I think I just paid $117 for three years of one of the premium coverages. To me, it's completely worth it if my arse is on the side of a highway in zero degrees needing help fixing something.

I am on the road a ton for work, and have AAA just for piece of mind. I am not sure that the dollars really work out, but like having some entity that can help if I get in a bind. it was really beneficial back in the old days...but now, Siri can pretty much find someone in whatever area you are in to call for help.
have to say, the last time I needed help, they said it would be a few hours...I asked siri for emergency road service and had someone there in half an hour. take that for what it is worth.
I honestly think that AAA will be gone in a decade or two....
ETA: damn, I killed the frick out of this thread!
