Used AAA yesterday for a tow. Worth the money

Think back and calculate the number of times you were broke down. Now see if paying annual break down insurance is worth your time.

Its well worth it. Doesnt even have to be your car.
I was with my FIL not long ago when he locked his keys in the car, Called AAA and they came out. I did have to show my ID.

Like a previous poster mentioned hotels give a special rate to AAA members. In Louisiana it is cheaper than the state rate and most other special offers. So if you travel often it pays for itself.

AMEX has like 100 bucks per use in roadside I think, up to 2x or 3x a year.
I haven't used it in a few years, but I've probably used it 2-3 times for tows or the wife.

Makes sense. A coworker used it for another guy's car once a few months back, and they didn't care who was driving. That's pretty legit.

There was a thread a few months ago about how people don’t get flats as often anymore. I guess that doesn’t apply in your life.
No it does not. I buy the insurance with the new set of tires too. Poor bastards are already in the hole on that one. I think they've replaced 3 already

I have been a AAA member for 20 years. Some years it is worth it but some I never use it.
I have used it for various things such as:
-wife's car (when I was married) had a flat in the garage, they changed it
-my mom's car battery died once while I was visiting, AAA came to her house,
tested her battery, sold and installed a new one for me
-I drive a German sports car and AAA has towed me 4 times in the last 10 years,
once from McComb, MS back to BR
So for me it is worth the AAA Premier that I pay for every year.

Totally worth it. I've had it for decades and had to use it a few times and was damn glad I had it.

I've had AAA for 15 years and it is worth it in my opinion. Had a battery go dead in the Turner Field parking lot, called them, got jumped. As others have said, it doesn't have to be your car or you driving. My mom's car had a dead battery at her lake house. I go down there, call AAA, they come jump it. Have used them for towing a couple of times, and the tour books/hotel/attraction discounts are great when making trips.

It's very worth it IMO. My teenage driver used it twice in 2 months (dead battery and blown out tire). As a parent it's a huge peace of mind.

It is worth every penny you spend on it. Do it. Do it now, and don't think twice about it.

Stay in a hotel once for a few days and the money you'll save will pay for the year. Do it.
