So why not create a new site. After all, if everyone on the original site doesn't like how things are going then they should all be willing to go to a new place for them to do, what they are there for. Or am I missing something?

The old MightyBigTV (which changed its name to TelevisionWithoutPIty) was an awesome TV and Movie talk board. Then they sold out to a corporate entity and it went to shite with the quickness. Wasn't nothing political about it.
If the founders of sites want to cash in, more power to them. But don't proceed to bitch and moan that you don't have control over it anymore.
