Not saying they're perfect but compared to other parts of the world, the Christian West is by far the fairest, advanced, and most egalitarian society in the world. Constantly taking the "other" side won't cure your unresolved teen angst or disprove that fact.

I didn’t say one is better than the other. I’m arguing that they’re similar and both have terrible histories of murder and expansion and if you want to get technical, I mentioned at least we separated out church and state although we still as a government murder mostly non Christians in the name of spreading our own beliefs.

I would agree the average Christian today is less murderous, although that wasn’t true less than 100 years ago when Protestant whites formed groups to murder and torture blacks. So when you’re looking at both compared throughout their entire histories, they aren’t that different. There’s still Christians murdering gay people. There’s still Christian nationalist groups that would love to murder some nonbelievers and the Nazis were mostly made up of Christians and largely supported by Christian organizations as they exterminated the Jews.

There’s plenty of examples.
