Call it excessive force or lack of restraint, but murder implies intent.

This case is still being investigated. So, you are OK with accusing these men of being judge, jury, and executioner while also finding them guilty in the court of public opinion?

It's very apparent through social media that everyone sees these events and the world around them very differently. We are all very guilty at times of being quick to judge.

Sure, I hate to see the police use deadly force. It's unfortunate that it came to that.

You say that you are tired of police brutality? The last stat I saw said that <250 have been killed by police this year, while thousands of people are murdered each month by other civilians.

Police aren't the problem. It's more likely to be a guy on your block.

Black panthers with concealed weapons is not fricking peaceful. Throwing fireworks at cops is not fricking peaceful. A dude sniping cops is not fricking peaceful.

Where they were is close to peoples homes. They were also on a public highway.

Police brutality and the militarization of the police force, and the problem with filling its ranks with Iraqi and Afghanistan vets, and; Racism by Police. Are two separate issues that have some overlap but are really separate problems (in my opinion) with the First problem increasing dramatically over last few decades while the second is decreased a lot over last decades.

Totally agree. I don't agree with BLM making this about race.

But I do think the militarization of our police forces needs to be put in the spotlight and it seems these protesters are the first to do so in a serious manner that is gaining media attention.

Sounds like you have deemed yourself judge, jury and executioner based off a couple crappy 15 second cell phone videos. How about we let our justice system and a jury of our peers decide the case based off the evidence? Or I guess we could riot, block roads, and eat up all of our city resources without knowing the facts of the case.

Considering the protests are thinning, the BLM leaders are bolting, the city is still in tact and no one else (especially cops) was killed... I think the BRPD are damn near heroes.

This is simple, you are trying to make it more complex than it really is.

If you play be the rules, EVERYONE goes home safely.

If you don't, you go to jail,
or the hospital
or the morgue.

If the cops are talking to you, don't be a dick.

It's Gumps like you that make it tempting to give Alabama away.

Then why are there so many DWI checkpoint threads posted here? I'd love to see checkpoints outlawed in all states as it is a clear violation of 4th amendment rights.

Care to do a quick search history on all the baws talking about how they don't go anywhere without a concealed weapon? It's funny how popular it is to talk about with regards to one demographic but not another.

Aside from that, I agree with the rest of your post.

I also think most of these arrests of protesters are largely manufactured by the cops and are not at all legit. Videos show cops pushing citizens and even causing them to be in the street. The same streets cops are already standing in. That's a BS arrest, even though it may be allowed due to overly restrictive and too zealously enforced laws. People have a constitutional right to peacefully assemble and protest.

They are called agitators, you were told not to get in the street dont get in street, you were told not to threaten cops with their lives dont threaten cops you continue to ignore guess what you arse is arrested...The ones who were arrested did nothing peaceful they were the agitators and thank God they walked out of EBR with their tail between their legs unlike other parts of the country.

Video in this link shows no people but cops in the street before they push the crowd back and then start chasing protesters.

And there are other videos prior to that which show the protestors in the street. The police used the same procedure in literally every single case this weekend. They stood down while people weren't in the street. When they got in the street they were warned. When they didn't leave the street the police moved into formation, blocked traffic, marched across the street, arrested the offenders, marched back, and then reopened traffic.

I knew exactly which video you were linking before I clicked the link.

And it's a great teaching aid for a lot of people. People can manipulate video to show what they want. That video makes the police look bad, but the fact is the people getting arrested broke the law before the video starts. Just because they then run to private property does not mean they can avoid paying for their crime.

Honestly, the people that made that video should be held accountable as well as any media that replays it.

You didn't watch a single, unedited video, did you? Tens of thousands of people were watching live streams and disagree

For fricks sake. This MYTH of widespread systemic racism and brutality from the police force has been debunked time and time again by facts and figures. And yet people like you insist on going back to posting about it. Why? Did you read a post off of your facebook feed about one of your friends "fearing for his life" from the police. Are you afraid of being labeled a racist for arguing with the BLM movement? Nah, every month you watch a new 15 second cell phone clip of a cop pushing someone and come to the conclusion that police brutality is a major problem in this country. Meanwhile, cops are being targeted and shot at every single fricking day thanks to sheep like you buying into the MSM's bullshite and spreading this nonsense.

So many issues in the AA community today with the biggest being blacks being murdered by other blacks by the dozens every single night as we all sleep soundly in our beds. And yet this is what drives them to march, riot, and ultimately murder police officers that had nothing to do with what they're so upset about.

Alot of it is thanks to dense robots like you spreading this debunked myth like its common knowledge. Educate yourself and stop letting your emotions guide your thoughts and actions.
