Glad you appreciated those. I was driving just running stuff through my head. Dick innuendo, and thought...rubber. And went with it. I was going in a lot of it for this sort of vibe

She's got an quintessential 1950s serial voice in my head

Tried to run it through a text to speech program. DID NOT WORK.

It was all entirely fictional. Especially the part when 'brother' was labeled a thief.

I just realized I forgot to finish the epilogue. Will remedy

Enjoyed it very much, Fr33. I usually read through things pretty fast and never take the time to enjoy them fully. Couldn't do that this time. Every time I'd try to blow through it quickly I'd start hearing it in that New Yorker style detective accent that'd morph into a Ninth Ward accent and then switch back and forth between the two.

This would be awesome to enjoy audio-book style.

Love the way you caught the personalities here.

Great work. I aspire to become a prominent enough poster to be included in such a story. Alas, the suicidal and divorced teacher is a very niche role.

Was it ever confirmed if the guy got arrested? I am starting to think maybe his story was somewhat legit or the owner knew him.

fr33manator@gmail.com you can contact me day or night.

I've been there. Like literally, dangerously there.

Look, it's a shite place to be in I'm not gonna lie, but if you hang in there it does get better. And I'm not blowing smoke up your arse or feeding you platitudes. It sucks. The dark and twisties are the worst. But they are liars.

Email me baw let's talk let me know you are alright

Wasn't and likely never will be but hopefully this will shock him enough to stay away from tailgate theft. Public shaming is probably all that will ever happen to him until he fricks up again.

Hence the poetic justice

Yeah, I’m ok. A step forward and a step backwards. I’m still going to therapy regularly. I struggle with a sense of purpose (even with a beautiful daughter) and have zero self confidence. I’ve been on a couple of dates, both I thought went well, but neither yielded a second. I’m afraid I wasn’t ready for any sort of rejection.

That's a start. Even if you aren't ok, trust me, you will be ok. Time. Hell there were moments today I wasn't okay and almost deleted this whole damn thing because I felt inadequate. But you know what, that was the lies talking. I got through it and past it and I'm good again.

Keep the faith brother and if you ever need to reach out I'm here.

This placed helped save me in my darkest hours, and now I take up the watch

My baw, if it would make you feel better I'd write an entire saga about a man who lost everything and is fighting back.

I appreciate the kind words. I’m in a much better place than I was a year ago. It’s all
About adjustments. Adjusting to being a dad. Adjusting to living alone. Adjusting to being poor, both OT poor and real.

Unfortunately, I have never been good about going through life solo. I know, I know, “you have to love yourself before anyone can love you”, but that’s easier said than done, especially when I look in the mirror.

I don’t want to hijack though…great work as always. The clock ticks on the next legendary thread.

I wouldn't count on it. The downvote ratio indicates I've worn out my welcome once more in spite of the overwhelming enthusiasm for Part 1
