You're asking why someone would prefer not handing their credit card to a stranger who works at mcdonalds?

You’re more likely to receive incorrect change paying with cash than someone screwing something up with your credit card that can easily be fixed by calling your bank or lender

This is a great idea for a test. Come on down to the testing center. We will see if you can make change. If not, off to the camps, where you will be fitted for a harness so we can hook you to a plow.

I’ve never been to a McDonald’s that was not staffed by bored, miserable looking teenagers that are probably equally bored and miserable at school, so this shouldn’t surprise you.

OT: We live in society where no one wants to work anymore and just grift off the govt.

Also OT: frick them teenagers with jobs.

That’s not the point I was making.

They’re miserable and bored because the job sucks. Some retail jobs are better than others and McDonalds is probably the worst. And on a lot of levels, K-12 education sucks also. So they check out and the society gives them all kinds of ways to do that.

The point is that people need to understand the state of mind of the employees they’re dealing with when they go through a fast food drive through and set their expectations accordingly. Don’t dickishly expect a kid making minimum wage in a crap job to make change the way you imagine they should, then get all indignant about it when it (surprise) doesn’t happen.

And then come running to tOT to complain about it like a real man.

Yeah. It's happened to me too.

Some are smart enough to figure out you don't want a bunch of change or small bills. Some aren't.

You should probably be thankful that you didn’t get a booger on your burger.

why are you still paying cash at a drive thru?

It’s hard dealing with the dumbest of society. App orders make it a bit more bearable.

It's incredibly easy not to have this happen, Boomer.
