It’s not hard for all of you parents out there. Set the expectations before you go to the restaurant. Tell your kids what is acceptable and what is not acceptable behavior. If they are acting up in the restaurant, take them outside. Tell them they can go back in when they start acting right. I have four kids that are stair steps. When we would go to a restaurant when the kids were toddlers, the waitresses would get that look on their face of “oh hell!”
Usually when we got through with our meal the waitress would compliment us on how well behaved our kids were.

If you are going to a place above the level of Apple Bees, Olive Garden, or Red Lobster, just hire a damn baby sitter and go enjoy the evening.
If people can't afford a sitter, then they shouldn't be going out to eat anyway.

Right, most likely but there are some who have chimed in here who DID identify themselves basically and have no problem with their kids shitting all over others’ meal. I even went out of my way to specify an absurd level of noise…and these folks are ok with that and act like they are being victimized.

I’m a firm believer that if your kids can’t mind, you need to find a babysitter or keep your arse at home. Growing up we weren’t allowed to go out to eat at a decent sit down unless we were able to act like we had some sense.
