That joke predates "Old MacDonald"

Rough moment tonight. I had been trying to reorganize my living room, but I hit a snag. I reached for my phone to call and get some advice only to stop myself because I realized the person who I had always turned to for advice on these kinds of trivial things was my ex. I thought about it and realized that I truly had no one else in my phone who I could really talk to about it, so I just kinda sat there defeated for awhile. I eventually figured out a different way to make it work myself, but just that loss of your primary confidant, that one person in your life who knows everything about you and gets it, can be pretty devastating. My support system has really eroded over the last year as my close friends seem to all be going in different directions. There just keeps being times when I really am all on my own. I don’t miss her, but I really miss some of the roles she played in my life, and I am struggling without having those rolls filled like an offense missing its left tackle. A weak line and suddenly, the simplest of plays become extremely difficult to execute.

I think you are pretty young if I'm not mistaken. In a few years she'll be an afterthought man.

Don't worry Bob. Any man who has a job can get a new woman to tell him what to do in no time. The better your job, the higher quality woman giving the guidance.

I'm going through it. My wife of 10 years doesn't love me anymore. We have 2 young kids. My 9yr daughter doesn't like her mother because she spends all of her time on her cell phone. My son is laid back but since he is only 5 he occupies his time with his iPad or games. I work away and missed alot of time with them but I provided for all of them and still do. Wife won't speak to me at all. My kids are suffering and that's what hurts me the most. Their mother is more interested in how she can get a stranger's dick than her own kids. She recently got rejected at the bar the last time I was home. I moved to my parents house 3 hours away and it's been a struggle. I only get my kids 2 weekends every other month. I don't know what to expect with the divorce but she doesn't have access to my money anymore. She wanted to go through a mediator but maybe now she will lawyer up I don't know. I have witnesses to prove that she neglects my children. I really don't want to go to war though. It sucks because I can't help my children at work. I'm not looking for another woman, I just want my kids to be happy and with her they aren't. I will figure it out.

No woman would touch a man who puts tennis shoes “on display” in the living room.
