I told her some people at the Courtyard Brewery may be interested in their literature... Gave her the address....
In all seriousness... I told her their theory was a bunch of bs and I didn't want to hang out with a bunch of JWs anyway.. shite is annoying...

Can't really stand anybody ringing my doorbell to try to solicit anything from me----and if you really want to piss me off, do it early in the morning.

They don’t really trigger me. They’re usually nice and they believe in what they’re doing. I just send them on their way and try to be polite about it.

If I were a Jehovah's Witness and truly believed all the 144,000 garbage, I'd be bogarting that intel like a mofo, only sharing it with friends and family.

I just missed them. I was pulling out of my driveway as a group was leaving my neighbors house. Today must be some kind of a get out and spread propaganda for them. You want to watch them squirm? Ask them to explain how only 144,000 people will get into heaven yet their are over 8 million jehovah witnesses?

I'm not a Jehovah Witness, and think most of their beliefs are crazy, but there is a really simple answer to this and it's not the gotcha that you think it is. They believe that 144,000 will actually go to Heaven but that all other saved people will live in Paradise on Earth in the New Jerusalem.

I remember my first encounter with a JW as a kid. She knocked on the door, and I was the only one home. She asked me to take a look at a "magazine" (felt like one of those Troll reader things you'd get from school) while she made her spiel.
After an awkward silence of looking at one another, she finally said,"That'll be $3." Stunned and unsure what was going on, I told her to hold on, scrounged up $3 in change from my piggy bank, and watched her sidle along to the next house while I was left with my reading material.
That $3 she fleeced me out of meant a lot to me at the time.
