Not really a celebrity but most folks around here know who he his

I was in New Orleans for the sugar bowl, out in the Quarter the night before.

Around 2AM on the way back to the hotel, we turned a corner and I ran into John Parker Wilson. And I mean physically ran into him; my lips touched his nose.

Pretty awkward but I didn’t really think anything of it. Till the next day when that a-hole literally took $500 out of my wallet and flushed it down the toilet.

Well, okay, maybe figuratively. But the facts of the matter stand: JPW basically made out with me and next thing I know I’m out 5 bills.

In addition to me almost killing Roger Staubach I have some others I have run in to. (see what I did there)
I met Joe Montana, Dan Marino, and John Elway in Vegas at a thing. Joe was quiet and cool. Dan was very easy to talk to and signed a ball for me, and John was an a-hole.
In Dallas I was getting my truck washed and in the carwash lobby I saw Tony Dorsett. He and I looked at each other from across the room, and he look at me strong and just shook his head no. Clear sign of keep your mouth shut and don't come say hi. Dude looked like he could still game.
Met Geddy Lee at a book signing. He was super easy going. Only time I was ever star stuck was meeting him.

Mine:

Chris O’Donnell- met him while he was filming some movie in Jackson. Very nice and smaller than you’d think

Lady GaGa- ran into her at Little Village in downtown BR. Had a short convo with her. She was in town because her boyfriend at the time was filming a movie in town. She’s very small.

Tim Duncan and Pop- met them at a charity event in SA. Tim was quiet and Pop was actually nice, but this was way before he won a lot and became a liberal dicktard

John Michael Montgomery- played golf in a foursome with him at a charity event when he was very famous. Very nice and had some good stories about women throwing themselves at him all over the country

Met the LSU coaches Saban, Dinardo and Curley. Curley was a country fried idiot, Saban was a quiet dickhead, and Dinardo was very nice and cool.

Nick Price- was hanging around the pro’s putting green before the Shell Houston Open many years ago, and he came up to me and started a convo unprovoked. Couldn’t be nicer. Became a fan of his that day.

Met Ralph Sampson at the Galleria in Houston back in his heyday. Tallest human I’ve ever seen. Signed an autograph but was being mobbed so he scurried off

About Tom Cruise- a friend works at Celtic Studios and said he couldn’t be nicer. Spent a few hours with one of the worker’s kids showing them around and hanging with them

Chevy's mother's stepfather was Cornelius Vanderbilt Crane. This is just one old money ancestor of his. Chevy is basically descended from a bunch of rich motherfrickers who settled Manhattan Island. Plus he was an early member of Steely Dan.

While we are on it… the cast of Christmas Vacation… Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Beverly D’Angelo, Nicholas Guest… all OLD money as well.

Forgot to add I have a very good friend that ran camera on the Dr. Phil show. Said he was a terrible person. Regularly reduced staff to tears.

I've got a old album I guess it's a bootleg. It's Steely Dan, but isn't a Steely Dan Album and Chase was listed as drummer on it. It had a version of everyone's gone to the movies on it. I'm going to have to dig it out of my junk sometime.

Decent chance I watched him do it to you

Got early to a Hog game once and was standing near the tunnel during warmups. Saw Bobby Petrino walking up the ramp and my friend had his nephew there for his first game. We asked Bobby if he could take a picture really quick with the kid and Bobby says "I gotta go guys" and walks on hurriedly. 20 feet later a brunette asks him the same and he smiles and cheeses with her for a pic. Was a dick move but looking back, that was Bobby being Bobby.

Ryan Mallett was funny as heck, talked and joked with him for a minute. May he RIP

Nothing too big to talk about but I met Arian Foster at a bar in Houston one time. I’m sitting at the bar minding my business and he walked up and asked if anyone was sitting here. Nope all yours. I didn’t know who he was but over 30 or so minutes people started offering to buy him drinks. Finally I turn and ask who he is. His response was “I ball.” Not in a sarcastic way but in a general response. I said cool and left it at that. A few minutes go by and he asks why I asked him that to which I say that I noticed many people coming up for pictures or drinks and was genuinely curious. He explained who he was and we shook hands. Once he said his name I realized who he was but his whole demeanor changed. We sat for a while and visited. Nice guy.

Sucks to hear. I have a friend who became pretty close with Rickie as an executive at one of his sponsors. She said of all the dozens of celebrities and athletes that they partnered with Rickie Fowler was hands down the nicest, most down to earth person she dealt with. He treated everybody with respect. Said exactly opposite about Shaun White. Major a-hole

Maybe he really did just have a bad round

Everyone knows he’s an a-hole but not everyone knows he comes from ridiculously OLLLDDDDD money, like aristocracy type shite. Those kinda people look down on anyone and everyone, it’s in their genetic code.

One of my favorites but I’ve heard major a-hole as well but different perspectives. He did an hour long podcast not long ago and it was a good listen. Apparently his mom and step dad were abusive and his family didn’t get any of the heir money from his grandfather.

I’ve heard over the years he is in real life basically like the character he has always played. Fletch and the Lampoons are him basically him winging the entire characters. Rodney Dangerfield said once he can dish it out but he can also take it, he’s just very sarcastic and CC thinks his snarky comments aren’t actually hurtful. Supposed on his last show, don’t remember name (Community?) he was burned out on the hours and left the show.

You can tell it’s really him. Especially Fletch. Look up his interview with Jim Varney on the Chevy Chase show. It’s basically Fletch interviewing Varney.

Me and a couple of friends ran into Tommy Shaw back in the 80's. Super cool dude. He talked with us for about 30 minutes about the music biz. He happened to be dating Linda Blair at the time. We had run into her and the rest of Styx in an elevator. They all tried to pretend they didn't see us.

One of my good friends from my hometown's father was a musician in Montgomery and was in a band with Shaw before he joined Styx. Always heard good things about him.
