Cops, if they actually did anything in their career, should end up with somewhere between 10-50%. Nothing they do should drive 100%.
And I realize I’m making a broad assumption here but the chick doesn’t exactly look like she was an operator.

Worked with a guy years ago that was prior AF.
Was receiving @ $1,800 /month for PTSD. I asked him about it, being prior AF myself and knowing damn well he didn’t see any “combat”.
Found out he was staying in the barracks/hotel that was blown up with a car bomb in Saudi during the Gulf War.
Here’s the kicker, SOB was flying home and over the Atlantic when it happened.
But he was “troubled” and had trouble sleeping because he HAD stayed there.
One sorry POS to say the least.
Yet my Pop, (R.I.P.) got busted up in Nam, broke his back and both legs, had a crushed hip and was only at 35% disabled when he passed even though he was in a wheelchair the last five years of his life.
F the VA

Here in my area, I have yet to meet a veteran that is NOT a disabled vet to get out of property taxes.
It's a HUGE benefit. Guys making $50K can afford houses they'd never dream of because they don't have to worry about taxes.
Honestly, I'm not mad. You serve and no one else wants to these days. Maybe make it a nationwide incentive - I know state to state property tax is different, but here in Texas, no property tax for life is a fricking huge win.

Interesting. Probably explains all the car tags too...probably also free.

Said this in the last thread, but I know an executive at a private equity backed startup that makes a KILLING and he still gets like $1,200 a month from the VA because of "minor hearing loss in one ear" and a torn rotator cuff from 25 years ago that is completely fine. Will get that for life. He never saw combat either, was tucked away on a ship, injuries happened in "training".
He calls it Bourbon Money and spends all of it at the liquor store

It's a shame, but if I see a disabled veteran license plate these days, I tend to roll my eyes.

You said what I was thinking. And did a better job than I would have.

Of all the stupid shite we spend money on and need DOGE to nuke….this is not even in the top 100 IMO.
What annoys me here though is people who don’t seem to have suffered getting the same benefits as those who lost a limb or can’t function in society at all.

Congratulations, you've found two apparent dirtbags out of honorable millions confirming your dim view of all disabled veterans.
Btw, I'm wondering how the Navy dude still active duty knows he'll get VA disability before even applying? While on active duty? Yea, give that a try and let us know if it works. Hint - it's bullshite and here's more bullshite.

So, it appears this ancient USMC 0311 Nam vet missed out on VA disability riches by a) Agent Orange exposures and b) being an old frick. Stupid me.
You'll be happy to know many veterans receive no disability pay at all. I'm sure that warms your concerned little heart.

Lots of stories of others, just say you dont give a shite if taxpayers are scammed for millions because some military desk jockey sat in a chair too much.

This doesnt mean there arent scam artists milking the system like welfare recipients.
Nothing you posted actually counters the charge.

Your source said getting older qualifies for disability.
Here's his direct quote.

That is a lie, as is the active duty Navy dude saying he'll get VA benefits when he retires.
Any more lies in that X thread?

oh good, another thread of self righteous vets justifying their scams to one another to validate their actions in their own heads.
to the rest of you who see the VA scam for what it is - i applaud you. keep bringing this up over and over, otherwise it will never change.

this is what they do, just like a bunch of fricking liberals.
"well my neighbor is a vietnam vet who lost both legs during Tet and cant breathe anymore and is on dialysis because of chemicals he was forced to drink in bootcamp, and you're basically saying 'frick him' right???"
no, morons. there are obviously many righteous, valid VA disability claims. that's not what we're talking about.

I didn't justify any scams or validate those actions.
Why don't you just crawl back in your safe space where no one can hurt your feelings.

When I was a little kid my dad coached the local American Legion baseball team. One of the vets who hung around would say, “There’s no bigger bums than VA bums.” I had no clue what he was talking about back then. As an adult, I grew to learn he was correct.
