My ancestors came through Ellis Island from Sicily (she was royalty, he was craftsman) with the clothes on their back. They learned English, took crappy menial jobs to live, and raised a family in the Italian / Jewish getthos of NYC. their offspring were bilingual and moved up the ladder. The unique benefit of the USA is the only country without some form of promoginiter (sp?). My ancestors left the mother countries too because as a woman they could not inherit. If you were a male and not the first male, it was the same. If you understand law, most of it deals with real property (land) and personal property (what you could carry). In most societies the first male inherited 100% of the land and 100% of the stuff. The land was not split and passed to his first son. The "stuff" he could give, so he could "give" his brother and "allowance" to live on and he could give his sister the furniture to put in her home.
My Scottish ancestors cam here and fought in wars for the British first, then the USA. One was an indentured servant on one of the first ships. If they survived (low odds) the were not paid in gold or silver, they were paid in land. This was not valuable land in the cities of the East or South, it was lands in the wilderness. They moved and started started families in the wilderness. They worked their butts off while dealing with natives, weather, illness, and other stuff till 100 years later they had small farms of cleared lend. The timber crated structures and the rocks cleared over time became the boundary walls. Their kids took us from the the wilderness to industrialization.
While you may be correct on not having the challenges they faced we can return to the souls they possess to survive and grow. Not saying it is easy or fix overnight, just saying it can be done.

In my opinion, the pendulum is on the guy's side now. If you aren't attractive (skinny, decent face), emotionally stable,not morally corrupt (non impulsive, good personal habits), or able to take care of yourself your chances of finding a decent guy are pretty slim now. Especially now since there's less of a stigma to stay single or to date younger or non American women.

No matter how many good men opt out of the traditional dating scene and or look internationally, a lot of these American women who can’t find a mate will still never learn the lesson. Men are simple creatures. They want sexual availability, loyalty, kindness and peace among other things. What they don’t want is constant social media, histrionics, finger- wagging, brow- beating, and all the other things American women who are steeped in feminism and or therapeutic culture seem to have perfected.
