I don’t know why I feel strongly for this kid .. my father left my mother when she was pregnant with me. But I know who he is and can see/talk to him if I choose but it’s not much more than a reply to a text from him. I do often wonder if I have half siblings out there and pray my family hasn’t done these ancestry things.
But if someone contacted me, I couldn’t be mad at them .. it’d be the sperm donor.
Kid (yeah I know he’s 30) just wants closure.

Also, i know a woman this happened to. Married to a guy for 15 years, 2 young kids. A 20-ish girl contacts them and says he’s her dad. She was raised with her mom who was poor and recently died. The wife really struggled with it. She ended up accepting the daughter and they are putting her through college and gave her a down payment for a house. It wasn’t just an emotional thing to accept, either. The money going to the daughter means fewer resources available for her children. She prayed about it and decided it was the right thing.
