Good timing on their part for closing day.

This Friday June 7 is National Doughnut day and other KK locations are giving away free doughnuts.

So it’s just going to close for renovations? And people are lining up?

Well... Truth be told re-opening doesn't guarentee the got dough it's will still be as good as before.

Remember the KK on seigan ln? No where even close the same quality that plank road was putting out.

KK is using the Trump tax credit zone money to rebuild in that location since it’s in a designated tax zone.

I never went to that location(not sure if it was around when I still lived in BR). Was it an actual location where doughnuts were made? Or just one where they were delivered to. Some of the locations around here are just small locations where doughnuts are delivered to daily from the locations where the doughnuts are made.

If so...maybe that's why the quality was poor?

I grew up on KK doughnuts, so to me they are one of the best...at the location on Plank. That location was a couple minutes from where I lived as a kid. It was a weekend tradition growing up in the 80s to go with my dad to KK on Sundays and get a dozen doughnuts. Got a chocolate covered glazed and a chocolate milk. Can remember sitting on the stools at the diner style counter they had in there.

I recently went to a KK in Scottsdale when they had the lemon glazed doughnuts promotion going on and just the smell of the inside lobby (that distinct smell of their doughnuts and coffee) brought back nostalgia.

You really have got to stop killing threads with your constant whining and droning on about nothing.

We dont care about your 1980's trips to plank road working for donuts and we certainly dont care about your opinion on the quality of donuts in Scottsdale AZ.

How am I killing a thread when I'm posting about the subject topic and staying on topic?

Believe me, KK makes a shite ton of money at that location. Plank rd or not. The KK on siegen ln failed horribly.

Never understood why the one on Siegen didn't do better.

Used to go there a lot when I went to school at Redemptorist. Sad to see it close.

Bingo.

I use to own a franchise. Not a Krispy Kreme but something similar. This smells of the franchise wanting the franchisee to spend a shite ton of money to remodel the store. Shiny new floors and equipment in old well established locations don't sell more doughnuts. Krispy Kreme can pat themselves on the back and say how great the store looks while the franchisee foots the bill.
