Her: You always try to control things! Like in the kitchen the other day, you couldn’t just let me make MY food!
Me: Uh huh...
Controlling and now this shows you don't listen to her and acknowledge her feelings. She just had this conversation with her work hubby.

Y'all are arguing over 15 seconds to heat leftovers.
Let that sink in.
Are these my leftovers or just hers? She can cook hers for 20 minutes and I won't care.
The same way I've given up on her saying that she likes her steak medium and then freaks out when it's bright pink. I just burn hers now and let her think it's good at this point

This is the type of response I was hoping to get. OP was a light hearted exaggeration of a real situation I had with my wife, I posted it for the lolz. I wasn’t coming here to get Dr Phil’d. Jesus Christ. It’s like these guys don’t even know me! How on earth does my posting style cause anyone to believe I’m an uptight controlling husband who gets worked up over spats with wife about pasta?

My FIL will sometimes tell his wife of 62 years how to warm or cook something she has done for 62+ years. Hahahaaaa, I must laugh when I see this kind of stuff.

Still trying to figure out why you care how long she heats her food. Seems like you wanted to start shite.

Were you wearing your sandals during this discussion?

You're not hitting it right, shes using anger and arguments as an outlet.

You know how long your wife microwaves food?
She is going to be a freak w her next husband.

You don’t have to always be right. That shite gets old bro. Why do you give a frick how long she cooks her pasta?

You are obviously not going down on her enough.

It’s moments like these that I remind my wife of the wedding by vows she took “To love, honor and obey” her husband.

You need to sit her down and mansplain a few things to her

You won the battle, but you are losing the war.
I can do it too, but I have to take a step back sometimes and remember when I step into the kitchen/home I am in her domain. You wouldn't like it if somebody walked into your office and started micromanaging your day would you?
