How many people do you think would attend your funeral?
I’d like to think I’d have a couple hundred and an open bar to celebrate.
In before: 350

My dog if he could get a ride.

This is all based on how close in proximity a lot of acquaintances and distant family live.
I suspect we all have 10-15 people who would fly from anywhere to be with us.
But there are also second cousins you see every few years, college friends who have their own families, etc. If my funeral was within a 90 minute radius, many of those would show up.
If it was 800 miles away, I wouldn’t expect much at all.

A lot more now than if I live another 50 years with the last decade in a long term care facility.

Don't want a funeral. Small handful of family welcome to tell me goodbye when they spread my ashes in the Gulf of Mexico.

It's Christmas.
They better not be worried about my funeral. Hire someone to take care of that and spend time with the rest of the family.
If I'm dead I won't care. But what I will care about is that my wife has the password and contacts to figure out how to get my retirement savings and life insurance.

Yeah, age is the other huge factor.
My ex-gf’s grandmother is beloved but she is quite old. She has outlived all of her siblings, and even some of her nieces, nephews, and cousins who are younger than her. Obviously none of those can attend.
She is in great health and I can see her reaching the 100 year mark.
If that happens, there are even more people who will not be able to attend.
Meanwhile, my mom attended a funeral for someone who died in a tragic accident. She was in her late 20s or early 30s, and my mom said it was the most packed she has ever seen that church.

Morbid is not the correct term….arrogance is the right word.

My wife and our 14 year old daughter (only because mamma would make her) and probably my FIL.
There would be a celebration since I would no longer be around take up space and absorb oxygen.
