The Mayor and city council have been really good at attracting new business to town. They are also doing a lot that attracts 20-40 year olds to live here.

Louisiana loves to shite on any sort of good news. These guys are all the people that will be melting 3 minutes into the Clemson game on Saturday.
Don't live in LA and don't do game threads.

Just don't buy "the industry association's jobs multiplier." That's like the NFL owners telling you how much economic benefit a new tax-funded stadium will bring your town.

Ruston is the only city in N. LA that has actually gained population.

Completely agree

I do think it's probably a net positive but the job multiplier stuff is a bit silly

I love when people who live in shitholes like New Orleans laugh at the idea of living in a city like Ruston.

No traffic, no crime in Ruston (Grambling skews the Lincoln Parish statistics), family friendly environment, affordable real estate, good schools.

If you can find a good career, it is a wonderful place to raise a family. This facility will offer more careers that give people that opportunity.

To each his own though. Enjoy your shitty politicians and crime ridden city.

Louisiana has a lot of very intelligent, hardworking people and the overall COL compares very favorably with the rest of the United States.

Public education lags, for obvious reasons, and that has held us back.
