911 operator tells caller "Deal with it yourself"

Then hangs up as caller tries to keep friend alive.

"No, my friend is dying .," she said as the call ended.

I would probably do the same thing if some bitch was cursing at me.
I would obviously be a pretty terrible 911 operator.

Typically as soon as the call goes thru, the right people are dispatched to the location of the call. The 911 operator only serves as a mediator to comfort. I'm glad she hung up. People bitch about the police, run into an emergency room cursing everyone out demanding help even tho they have no insurance, and expect the world to be handed to them on their clock.

Not sure if you've been in a situation where you're attending to a good friend who is dying before your eyes, but I imgaine that's a pretty panicky situation. People freak out. Lose their cool. LOL at all of you thinking that the caller was in ANY way in the wrong simply for cussing.
Could she have been more polite? Well yeah, sure. But I would never say she "shouldn't" have cussed. 100% of the blame here is on the dipshit who took the operator job knowing he'd get calls like this and then couldn't handle them.

Thank God the 911 operator didn't hang up on Todd Beamer and others on those flights on 9/11 (not that it helped the end result but he could pass a message on to his family and he wasn't alone at the time of the actual crash). If you don't like your job quit ... do you know that you wouldn't be cursing in a situation where you're trying to administer aid to your friend? Yes the operator had a job to do and either do it the way it should be done or quit and find another job.
