Sorry, not going to believe anywhere is overrun with peds covid cases. It would be such an outlier to all available data and facts

they had no choice. the only ones not vaccinated are those with underlying conditions.

2 of the younger kids have heart issues we are monitoring, 1 was positive after an emergency appendectomy…
There is a reason they are vague with information, especially in regards to kids

Currently 38% of covid hospitalizations at Ochsner are under the age of 50
If you want to talk under 60 that number is over 50%

Good info. How many of them have 2 co-morbidities? Are young healthy people in the hospital? There are clear subsets of folks that should’ve received the vaccine bc of their condition. Does the data still back up that those are the people still being hospitalized?
In my other thread, I believe you view me as anti-vaccine but what I really am is pro-freedom. We know pretty clearly who is susceptible to Covid and those are the unvaccinated people filling up hospitals at the moment. Those folks poor choices are giving the Govt and Powers that Be the ammunition they need to take away freedoms under the disguise of “safety”.
Let’s be clear, none of this is truly about safety but control. There are so many things the powers that be could’ve done to curb the spread but they refused (the main being letting a million plus mostly unvaccinated folks into our country and dispersing them around).

Yes, absolutely it is still majority unhealthy people. That stays true with just about every ailment we see in the hospital
But simply thinking this is just an elderly pandemic is wrong
Currently, covid is a pandemic for the unhealthy who are unvaccinated
Healthy, statistically speaking you are not really a player
Vaccinated, statistically speaking you are not really a player
Unvaccinated and unhealthy, you are the player in this game of hospital admits
And when I say unhealthy I mean 5’10” 210 lbs.
But simply thinking this is just an elderly pandemic is wrong
