"Buddies" - Is a term referring to non name branded items. I remember it being used mainly for shoes, but it also applied to jeans and shirts.

I've had this guy out at my house recently doing some work and he apparently has "FUBAR" and "FUPA" confused. Never in my life have I been so amused at a guy trying to explain schedule slippage to me.
