I read 7/8 asymptomatic. All J&J shots.

To start, the Yankees took the OT favorite J&J vaccine. So the percentages actually play out you would expect multiple players to actually not have that shot work
To follow it up, one of the players with a positive not only took the J&J, they also had covid back in December

J&J vaccine is only about 60% effective. But it does help keep the worst of the symptoms away.
Also, we have been getting a shite load of false positives at my local hospital from the start of this. Something that the media doesn’t really talk about much. Testing is better than it was a year ago, but it’s still a shite show.

The test doesn’t detect an infection. It detects viral particles. When are they going to stop testing asymptomatic people?

Only 1 of the 8 is a player (Gleyber Torres) and he's asymptomatic. Aside from being vaccinated, he had antibodies from when he had the "virus" in December.
