LSU always has a game on Gubernatorial Election Day.

the LSU'Florida game is easily the top home game of the year. Nobody would give a crap if it were LSU vs. Miss. State for a noon game.

Either way, this is 100 percent St George being on the ballot. Plain and simple. Florida game is just a small reason.

I disagree. It’s a huge game but the Auburn game is more important since it’s a West school and they’re probably better.

ok. The biggest home game of the year then. And it just so happens to fall on election day. And is also going to be on ESPN and might even be a ESPN Gameday event. I got my voting out of the way yesterday. Don't have to worry about it no and can go to campus anytime I want.

Yeah. Bigger than Florida.

Anyone who thinks a mother fricking 725% increase in early voting having something other to do than St George being on the ballot is clueless.

It's pretty easy to see. Florida is LSU's biggest game of the year so far. Is going to be a night game, on ESPN, possibly Gameday. How can you not take that into account?

Turnout up everywhere. Probably has to do with Trump's tweets and the fact that a lot of repbulicans staying home to vote in 2015 bc they couldn't vote for Vitter. Also, the convenience of early voting and the LSU game.

ETA: Obviously St George is playing a factor in the proposed district. I was just stating other potential reasons

Exactly it is like people can't read.

On the first day of early voting, turnover in the parish was up 244% compared to 2015, but an eye-catching 725% inside the boundaries of the proposed city of St. George.

So only people in the St George area are watching LSU games lol

It took you three posts to qualify it with “biggest home game of the year so far”.

The parish is up 244% from 2015. In 2015 LSU played Western Kentucky so early voting being up makes sense. Although St George is driving most of that 244%.

It’s not up 725% in St George because of the LSU game.

How can you not take into account that other regions of BR are not that high?

LSU/Florida being Saturday night has a very small, if any, impact on early voting
