re: 7 fights at Dutchtown High.

Has the local news started reporting these fights because there was the one at Istrouma today. And they reported on one a few weeks ago and I don't remember the news ever reporting on school fights.
We used to have fights at school.. I mean it wasn't 7 fights in a day or anything, but there were gang fights. I saw a dude get jumped and someone went help him, the dude took his belt of and started hitting people swinging.. hitting people with the buckle. Two people jumped on him and all of a sudden there were like 3 separate fights. But even with all of that, you didn't worry about if someone had a gun.
In fact there were a few times when there was a rumor someone was bringing a gun to school and then the next day they would have the medal detectors.
Once or twice a year they brought the drug dogs in. When they came to tell the class to get into the hallway, everyone would throw everything in the middle of class. Lighters, cigarettes, dip, marijuana for the most part, but they would find crack or acid and of course no one admitted they were the one who had it.
But what's weird is that you can make a decent life for yourself if you don't get involved in gangs, yet there are these kids who seem to think its their only option.

This is a good example of why good public schools are irrelevant to me. I’ll pay for education no matter what.
