You got downvoted to hell but I agree with you. This should never have been news, especially with such little facts that were known other than a mere accusation. The news media throws all of their journalistic standards out the door when they hear things like "racist." I mean, who would have thought that a kid would lie about anything?

Of course jackwagons are "praising" the parents for being so brave for coming out with their press release..What these people are missing was that this was all calculated..Race is a very sensitive subject...People lose their lives over this...People lose their careers over this..People's lives are ruined over this.. Very progressive even in the early 2000s. Half the administration was gay, including Dean of Students, our religion teacher (and chaplain), women's sports director, etc.

Extremely progressive in the late 90s as well. A lot of that was tied in with which teachers were favorites of the headmaster and could get away with murder.
At least until the business manager got caught whacking it in the park, got fired after news scrutiny, and the headmaster canned after an audit by the new business manager showed some interesting accounting.

Just read this thread. 10 pages of people getting fired up about some shite 6th graders did. And there was probably not one thought of anything political that factored into this whole situation.
In fact, there is probably a 99% chance this had absolutely nothing to do with politics. Yet people take these stories and look at them the way they see the world and then it becomes something completely different from what actually happened.
