Man, if I have to pull a gun on someone who has a gun on me, you can bet your arse I'm in shoot to kill mode. I'd have yanked the trigger 5-6 times in rapid succession. That kid is lucky that old man had a wayyy more docile attitude than most people with regard to having a gun pulled on them.

Journalist are not always great at conveying context.

I've watched at least a dozen cop bodycam videos where there was a cop-involved shooting. Every time, their supervisor asks if their camera is still running and, if it is, to not talk about what just happened.
If cops won't even talk about a shooting incident without a lawyer, then you shouldn't either.
