If you watch the video, Summers never said he had a license, the reporter said it. Now, maybe Summers told the reporter off camera that he had a license, or maybe Summers thinks that the new carry laws grants him a license. I don't know.

Of course you have the right to say nothing, but I'm not aware of that at all being necessary or common in the case of a self-defense shoot.
All you need to say and I mean every word you need to say os "he was trying to kill me." Say it repeatedly and loudly.
Cop: can you tell me what happened?
You: he tried to kill me.
Cop: what provoked the attack?
You: he tried to kill me.

Maybe not the best thing to do but that has absolutely zero bearing on his RIGHT to carry a firearm and use it in self-defense. The self-righteous tactical turtles will always put in their worthless $0.02 though.
