Reportedly, the CDC made the decision to allow a jet full of COVID infected passengers to disembark at Hartsfield–Jackson and fly wherever. No one was quarantined.

At the same time the CDC was funneling disease to Atlanta and beyond they were quarantining other less sick arrivals. The Atlanta decision had nothing to do with China.

That's most DC bureaucracies. They are accountable to no one.
The CDC could go on live television and tell everyone they just winged it and made shite up, the American people can suck their dick, and nothing would change.
Insert any federal agency to this equation as well, no matter who holds the Executive or Legislative Branches.
Our elected "officials" haven't run this country in almost fifty years, if not longer.
