Louisiana people believe incessantly whining about Nola makes their lives less miserable or something?
weird mentality in this state. no hope for it.

Ask someone in outlying parishes of the metro area if they give a shite about what's happening in New Orleans anymore. 9 out of 10 times, they'll say "No." GO outside that perimeter in Louisiana and it will be 10 out of 10.
You wrote a nice essay there, but I have to disagree with you on this part. I don't feel like spelling out why you are wrong so let's see if others help out
I think he is right on the intrastate but wrong on out of state.
People out of state recognize New Orleans. They might know Baton Rouge. Otherwise that’s it. They think New Orleans when they think Louisiana.
In Louisiana outside of the metro area the only time people think about New Orleans is to think about how much potential has been wasted. And instead of being a gain for the state it’s a drain on the state

embarrassing to the state of Louisiana.
Does the state of Louisiana even have the capacity for embarrassment anymore?

What are the odds these carjackings escalate into home invasions?

Why do New Orleans topics on here reach multiple pages? Just stop talking about it. We don't talk about your problems (I'm sure there are plenty). Just do us a favor and ignore the city.
Hey NOLA you want my legal advice on how to stop these?

Fellow O-Ters. We have a volunteer for hall monitor here.

Once Gayle passes, Saints and Pels will not be feasible as the major sports don’t need 3rd world city.
Meh. Not happening anytime soon.

because even as bad as it is, it is still a better place to live than Baton Rouge and lafayette, and there is some penis envy there

Way riskier than carjacking if you look at it from a cost/benefit analysis. That said, who the hell knows at this point?

Two shot and killed in the “good” part of Metairie around 9:00 last night in my hood.
I don't see this story around - got a link?

WDSU Metairie story
Story is two renting half a double got taken out. Everyone says drug house. Not sure on that though.
Fox station might have a better write up

We’ll see. I’ll give it 25 years. Hundred of breakins during the Cowboys game. The city can’t protect the parking attendees and attendance waned latter part of the season.
There’s a reason on Payton rumors coaching elsewhere, the rest of the league knows NOLA is the NFLs 3rd world and Super Bowls are coming much less often.

Well since you out that kind of time horizon in it. Maybe so. Lots of things will change in this country for the worse by then

The Big Sleazy is in a downward spiral with no bottom in sight. I think the bottom looks like Mogadishu in about a decade.

You win, dude. Tough competition, but this is the dumbest post in this thread.

Friends say they believe two men gunned down inside a Metairie home Monday night were playing video games when their killer or killers ambushed them.
The coroner's office has identified the victims as Jonothan Pizzuto, 38, and William Mitchell, 36.
Jonathan Pizzuto, 37, had likely left his door unlocked, his best friend, Cortney Dufrene, said, because he was awaiting the arrival of co-workers who usually hung out at his Rosa Avenue home after work.
Pizzuto, Mitchell and Dufrene were part of a small but tight group of friends who've known each other since childhood and attended Riverdale High School in Jefferson. The news of the men's deaths has left them and relatives shocked. They don't know who could have carried out such a brutal act of violence.
Pizzuto sold insurance and mostly kept to himself, working all day and playing video games with friends at night when he was off, according to Dufrene.
Mitchell was a carpenter who had recently started a moving business in California, according to Oxford. A "gym rat," Mitchell had been into bodybuilding and won competitions in his 20s and early 30s and was still in great shape.
Landlord Gina Sanders agreed. Pizzuto had lived at the property for several years and had never been a problem.
"He was such a nice person, quiet," Sanders said.
