If you had accurate body fat % and BMI numbers, you could make a legitimate assessment.
True. When I went thru boot camp, we had a guy that was a body builder. Because of his height/weight, he failed the BMI standard. He looked Mike Tyson and was built like Arnold Schwarzenegger. Very little body fat.

These figures come from scientist and doctors. The same people that say you can have a penis and be a woman. My doctor said I'm good.

Again, it's a good metric for most people. And most people who claim it isn't a good metric for them are full of shite.

My BMI 28-29 and is a terrible metric for me by itself.

I took a BP reading this morning and it was 105/75.

Heading to the gym at noon for some squats and some running.

My bmi is around 25 (6'3 200). I'm also at 18% body fat, which is in the normal range.

Hopefully covid has more than a chart when considering my fate.

What Americans consider "skin and bones" is actually healthy in most cases. It's just a fact.

They could do a pretty awesome psychological study on Americans and their warped sense of what a healthy body weight is. It really is fascinating, not just on the OT.

It's like School GPA, it's an indicator, nothing more.

With the average diet in this state, are you really surprised there are so many obese people in Louisiana?

It really is impressive how much effort people put into it because they can't face the reality that they need to correct something about themselves. Rather than face the mirror, they lash out at the BMI chart, which is suppose to be the a piece to the puzzle of your total health.

Instead, we get a bunch of "when I flex I can see some movement in my arms; therefore, it doesn't apply to me." responses. There is a very good chance it does not apply to some of the people in this thread; but if you are not actively getting your heart rate up 30/60 minutes at least a few times a week, then it most likely applies to you.

So Covid uses the BMI chart to find it’s victim?
Bet Fauci wishes he would have thought of that.

Damn near every person with any muscle is considered fat on that retarded arse chart.

I got news for you, baw. Most Americans are way fatter than they think they are. So, disregard the chart, especially if you are at a 29, 30 (or greater) BMI at your own peril. You're not "big boned" - you're a big fatass is what you are.
