Incredible achievement in American history.
Posted from my phone which has more computing power than all of NASA in 1968.

I remember in the 90s they made a big deal about scientific calculators being more powerful.
The shuttles weren’t much better. I think my iPad has more power than any of the original fleet of shuttles.

And our children will laugh at technology used on the ISS today and in the newest 797 aircraft.
C’est la vie.

I know where this is going. We went to the moon.

Read Michael Collins' (Gemini 10, Apollo 11) book.
He mentioned that one of his biggest regrets is that the pictures he had taken on his spacewalk were lost due to the camera he used floating out into space while trying to close the airlock.
Everytime I see Earthrise I'm reminded of that.

Remember watching this on TV.
The world had came to a stand still when this went down.

And during the Obama years, he wanted to stress Islam's contributions to NASA. Funny how times have changed.
Well not totally, an atheist sued NASA back then for the Bible verse reading.

Link to this, please. Otherwise it's another internet lie.

Flat earth folks do not approve of this thread.

No stars here either. Did you ever stop to think that there might be a legitimate scientific explanation as to why stars never show up on videos from either earth or lunar orbit?

So, a shout out to the muslims in the 10th century that came up with algebra. NOT any contribution to NASA.
Get it right.
Get it right.

Bizarre spin invoking hairsplitting, but okay.

That picture of the rocket makes me want to fire up Kerbal Space Program.

The exposure time for the images (it’s actually three images: red, green and blue) was too short for any stars to be seen. Earth and the Moon were bright enough that a short-duration exposure was all that was needed. The brighter an object is, the shorter the exposure time required to capture an image of it. It’s similar to why you don’t really see them on landing videos or pictures - the subjects being photographed were so much brighter than the background stars that the exposures weren’t long enough to capture the stars.

I've brought this up before whenever someone talks about PC stuff being a recent invention. People have getting offended over the most minute, petty things for decades; it just gets more attention and coverage now.
