How did men convince women that being tied up, sexually dominated and used as a sex toy was somehow liberating to women?
I understand that they say since it's their choice, it changes the dynamics of the situation, but In the end, the man is still getting what he wants and using the woman's belief that she's liberated as a free pass to humiliate her to his hearts content. Or till she says the safe word!
This has got to be one of the biggest cons ever pulled off by men. Am I right?

He was rich AF
He was good at making the sex
He changed who he was for her
It's (bad) fiction, not a con.

Why the frick would you bring this up?
Just enjoy the results of their liberation.

Hey Slaggie
What’s your safe word?

I was just blown away at the housewives losing their minds and getting all freaky over a horribly written book. I actually picked the book up and read three or four pages while in a Barnes and Noble and it is written like a high schooler texts.
I know there were many, many happy husbands around when that book was the "in" thing though.

Well 50 shades isn't a true dom/sub relationship.
In that type, the sub holds all the power.
You're are merely the mechanism by which she achieves release.
ETA: you're basically a sex toy. The safe word is the off switch. Your reward is an orgasm and the knowledge she physically cannot give herself what you do.
Being a real dom is work.

I'm convinced that they had it figured out the entire time, but simply used it as an excuse to fullfil some latent fantasies.

horribly written book.
All four books are incredible works about a woman’s need to know herself by convincing us men to use nipple clamps and floggers on them to heighten their sense of self worth and control.

Because it is?There is a certain freedom in surrender. We have all these day-to-day responsibilities and sometimes we just want to feel like someone else is in control. Some women just want to be dominated
ETA; I am not talking about those shitty books.

Isn't the liberator an adult toy?

I landed on it while channel surfing. The two minutes I saw were cringeworthy.
