FORSYTH, Ga. — Aubrey Corley's 5-year-old daughter rides the bus every day to and from Hubbard Elementary School.
On December 4th, Corley was waiting for her at the bus stop. When her daughter stepped off, her face was covered in scratches and bruises.
Corley's daughter told her mom a 12-year-old gave them to her -- "grabbed her throat and told her to stop breathing, grabbed her hair and slammed her head against the bus wall," says Corley. Her daughter also told her she was hit with a book bag and poked in the buttocks.
"I wanted to just break down, but I had to be strong for her," says Corley.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says they've filed charges against the 12-year-old but haven't released the name.
Monroe County Assistant Superintendent Jackson Daniel says they are investigating and disciplining the student as well as interviewing the bus driver.
Law enforcement and Monroe County Schools both say they're reviewing the bus cam footage.
Corley says she hasn't seen the video yet but says law enforcement called it torture.LINK

Corley says her daughter didn't need medical treatment, but she's still wondering why someone would physically hurt her little girl.
"She is the most loving, outgoing child. She can get along with anybody," says Corley.
The District Attorney's office says they will review the bus camera footage before deciding what formal charges to file.

Don't think I won't beat the frick out of a 12 yr old

That 12 year old is mentally ill and needs to be confined.
As a parent, this is my worst nightmare.
In today’s society, this 12 year old monster will continue to do this until he kills someone.

This might be about race

My blood just began to boil reading this.
This monster needs a new permanent address in an institution

Why is a 12 year old riding on a school bus with elementary school children?

It can't be about race. The victim is white.

I don’t care if he is 12, that kid is getting an arse beating from dad if he did that to one of my kids.

This, and I'm not a violent person.

Christ this kind of stuff scares me. I have 3 little girls, aged 8, 4, and 16 months old. I show my oldest daughter self defense moves all the time. I tell her when it comes to boys, warn them once to stop and if they don't kick them in the nuts.

Looks like the victim is white, so it can't be about race.

Might be like the small town I grew up in.
The school bus picked up everyone in the whole neighborhood, kindergarteners to seniors.
Dropped off at the elementary school first, then middle then high school.

Exactly
A 5 year old would be in 1st grade
A 12 year old in 7th grade.
When did this happen? I thought kids are out of school right now
Eta never mind. December 4th

of course, they show pics of the victim not the attacker.
That mom should sit on the 12 yr old.

That's a terrible idea with the way some kids are these days.
