Statues killed 2 people last night and shot 5? Thank god we are getting them out of here. Its good NOLA has a mayor like Mitch that hits hard on the real issues. We have people being killed by statues, and all these damn white folks want the police to bully innocent black bodies instead? Damn racissssss white folk

Turned the news on yesterday at 6 and they started out with a breaking news segment. It was that someone got shot in new orleans. Is this really 'breaking news' to anyone? No, it's just a typical Tuesday.

Don't hold your breathe waiting for Mitch, the city Council, or the black Caucas or any of the leaders or people protesting for the removal of these statues to weigh in on this crime, poverty, or education issue.
Those old rocks and statues though. Whoo boy there's a huge cause to rally around.
Don't worry about blighted neighborhoods and massive failing public education systems and crime and murder surpassing the rest of the country and college educated talent leaving the state and loss of professional career paths and industries.
Nope. Turn a blind eye to all that and just worry about the nonsense smoke and mirrors.
There's is a blazing fire of problems in our city and we're arguing about the smell of the smoke. Not putting out the fire.
