I’m in the BR area. You’re an Eagle guy with that guard unit down there right? Shoot me an email if you’re interested in talking about it.

That video is crazy. The wreckage makes it seem like it glided down with some control. The video makes it seem like it fell out of the sky nose down.

Yeah, that looked really odd.

No fire either from what it looks like. Maybe they ran out.

Do twin engines crash more than single engines? Seems like it.

If there were an equal number of piston twins to piston singles in the sky, the answer would be yes.

Engines quit for whatever reason, pilot kept easing back on the yoke trying squeeze out a little more range to make the airport got to slow, stalled and spun.

I fly in a small single engine all the time.

Not so subtle brag

Generally an indication the plane ran out of gas.

It's odd seeing a plane crash live. I witnessed that C130 military plane explode in the sky and crash last year here in Ms.

Heard a loud boom and looked up to see a fireball and a huge plane coming down.

How the hell do you run out of gas in a plane? That's so stupid

Poor planning and pilot who thinks he (or she) is immune to the laws of physics. Go check out the NTSB aviation accident database and you'll see plenty of evidence of this.

ETA: I'll bet the investigators will find the props were not turning when the plane hit the ground.

How does a plane fall straight to the ground?

I can remember one accident report where the pilot stated he saw the low fuel caution light come on but the indicator still showed 25 gallons left so he kept going.

Those little planes are sketchy. Between that and how easy it is to get a pilot’s license, I’d be a little nervous flying in one of those.

The wings stop creating lift.
