About 1,200 people out of 254,000 people
The local testing place only allows people with symptoms to get tested. So no symptoms=no test. People can be asymptomatic.
Here's the Caddo Parish website
LINK
56 deaths, 1220 cases, 20410 tests.
So 254,000 have not been tested. We have had less than 21K tests carried out. Also, remember that people may be tested more than once.

Seems like you know a lot about talking points.
I wonder why

On the one side we have the Karens who want everyone to hide in their homes for the forseeable future. On the other, the stupids who get their marching orders from Dr. Hannity, MD, PhD. I go back and forth on which one is worse.

I’m not saying we need to be shut down for all time and that this is Ebola
Why do I keep seeing people compare this to Ebola, as if it were worse. Literally only 2 people died from that disease in the U.S. i understand the mortality rate of that was much much higher. But still, its a joke to compare Ebola to this.

Trust the government. They are looking out for you
Surely you're trolling! Thx, but I'll continue looking out for myself everyday, just like I've always done. I don't rely on the government for my well being. I just want the government to provide a level playing field so I can look out for myself.

It’s been a joy to watch the goalposts move over the months.
Going from the deaths in Italy not being representative to what could happen here to now it not really being deaths by coronavirus at all.

Can you imagine living in Caddo Parish and not wanting to be dead? I can’t.

I mean, it’s almost like the steps that have been taken are mitigating the damage. Crazy, I know.

with the vast majority of the population shut off inside their homes?
No one has been "shut off inside their homes". When I go to Publix, Lowe's or Walmart the parking lots and stores are full. This whole farce has done little to slow the spread. If anything, we've simply funneled more people to fewer venues.

I had a pet caddo when I was a kid.

Yeah...that is quite literally you talking out of your arse.

I’m not against opening everything back up and returning to normal.
With that said, when businesses open up again for normal operations and foot traffic becomes heavy, what are is the “this is nonsense!!” crowd going to suggest if COVID numbers take an enormous spike and things get out of hand? Numbers go crazy. Deaths spike.
I’m not saying it’ll happen. I’m ready to get back to normal. But what happens if it does? Do we keep moving forward with businesses staying open? Allowing the virus to spread even more than what it’s spreading now and just hope for the best? I’m just curious of your solutions to that possible problem

This is what I keep wondering myself. What will be the protocol for businesses when an employee gets infected...just treat it like the flu and keep operating or will they have to shut down? If the virus starts to spread like wildfire in the fall will we just accept the public health consequences? I cant see another shut down but this thing is far from over.
