Yep. Just noticed last weekend, for instance, that Mayfair area off Hyacinth is building a ton of apartments. That cannot be upscale I am assuming. That neck of the woods will drive the Staring folks out and it will be the new South Harrells Ferry in 5 years.

I don’t see that. The Northern cities are arse loads more segregated than those in the south from my obeservations, and it’s economics that’s the driver they use to segregate. In the south, there’s some of that, but for the most part it’s a lot more mixed than areas of the North,

I'm sure it's just my personal bias because I'm more familiar with the city and that other places have similar issues but it just seems like Baton Rouge, never really paradise in the first place, is just going into the shitter at a record pace.

According to this, of the 52 homicides in EBR this year, only 3 have been south of the I-10/12 corridor. It's a pretty distinct trend.
