In all seriousness, it is much tougher for a dude to deal with being short than it is for a girl to be either short or tall.
I had a senior NCO who was, maybe 4'10". And his basic branch was infantry. The thing was, he owned it. He pre-empted the short jokes. It was completely effective.
I mean, you can't run away from that. One of my daughters is 5', even, and she towered over him.
